Sarah Velez is the Director of Learning and Career Pathways at Peckham, where she leads innovative workforce development initiatives that support team members—many of whom face barriers to traditional employment—through strategic learning programs, career pathways, and external partnerships.

With a background in training, labor relations, and organizational development, Sarah has built impactful collaborations with colleges, financial institutions, and community organizations to deliver services such as financial education, English language support, and credit attainment.

She is passionate about helping leaders grow in their authenticity and is excited to join the Advisory Committee for The Empowerment Institute for Michigan to expand her impact in leadership development and workforce empowerment across the state. Sarah is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at Michigan State University to deepen her business acumen and expand her leadership influence.
