Jennifer Hoyte completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education with a dissertation focus on – How the Use of Subjectivist Instructional Strategies in an Eighth Grade Algebra Class Relates to Algebra Achievement and Attitude Changes Towards Mathematics. She has an EdS – Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer and Information Science with distinction in Computer Science.

Her research interests include teaching methods, technology use for Mathematics in K-12 schools and higher education, and making online mathematics courses interactive and exploratory.

Her awards and honors include US Fulbright Scholar, Presidential Fellow, Webmaster of the Florida International University Chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society, Vice-President of the College of Education Graduate Student Network, Winner of The Grace Bareis Memorial Scholarship for Mathematics and repeated Dean’s List awards.

Jennifer has held memberships in the Ohio State University Software Engineering Research Group, student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, Mathematical Association of America (MAA), American Education Research Association (AERA), American Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) and the Golden Key International Honour Society
