Dr. Dale A. Dan
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr. Dan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for The Empowerment Institute for Michigan as well as Professor of Leadership and Business globally.
Her empowerment journey started at age 5 when she began world tours due to her father’s government role and mother’s education service in her community. She saw where the world was very diverse and from that tender age, she saw the many inequities. She longed to see these empowered. She also learned that even the wealthiest experience emotional and other challenges that limit their ability to soar. These concerns continued into her adulthood based on all she observed resulting in her professional and missional work in the USA and about some 53 countries. Her passion for globalization stretches decades.
She served a variety of roles and projects in all major sectors including Education, Business, Government (Federal, State and Local), Faith-Based and NGOs. Roles included serving as Chief Executive Officer, President, Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer, Dean, Faculty and High School Teacher with a focus on Empowerment, Academics & Accreditation, Online Learning, Training & Development, Mediation & Conflict Resolution and teaching Business & Leadership. Certified in Mediation and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Her service included extensive studies and research in Leadership, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Emotional Intelligence, Business, Internationalization, Justice and Language along with United States Supreme Court Mediation through third- and first- party solutions. She wrote over 50 workplace soft skills manuals with a thrust on creating healthy Joy-at-Work cultures. Her focus has been on developing empowerment programs, training and systems that helped many to fully understand the heart of access and engagement and to join her in executing strategies that resulted in success. She is also a published author for a series of inspirational writings. She has served as Corporate, Education and Faith-Based speaker globally.
Dr. Dan is certified by the University of Connecticut – Mediation Training Institute in Corporate Mediation and by the United States Supreme Court in Court Mediation. She also holds certificates in Online Teaching, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Global Theology from Harvard University. Her doctoral studies are in Human Resource Development, Education, and Organizational Leadership with master’s degree studies in Business & Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She pursued bachelors’ studies in Language & Justice with The Ohio State University and Jose Ortega Fundacion in Spain.
She was outstanding in her academic pursuits earning her Diploma of Excellence in European & Hispanic Studies. She also received the Blue-Ribbon Award for being the most Outstanding American Graduate in Hispanic and European Studies, and received the Mayor’s Award for Service in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from the Venezuelan Bilingual Institute with Highest Honors and received numerous awards for Best Orator, Outstanding Student, and for Loyalty and Service. She is a member of the National Dean’s Honor Society and the Sigma Delta Beta Chapter for quality business professionals. She has been honored as an Outstanding Woman of Technology for America.
On a personal level, she enjoys walking, music, reading, writing, water aerobics and simply … providing a listening ear to those who need an outlet. She has a heart for the elderly, the blind and deaf communities and for supporting capable but disadvantaged students, so that they, in turn, can improve their family’s standard of living through being empowered by education that is a true multiplier. Her life’s philosophy is “Nothing happens sustainably in life outside of sincere relationships” (Dan).
