LaTonya Demps, LCSW, is a multifaceted psychotherapist, certified trainer, and consultant whose work is deeply rooted in family legacy and community values. She founded Collective Wellness Counseling and Consulting, a group therapy practice focused on bridging wellness gaps and creating healing spaces for underserved communities, and serves as a mental health consultant to organizations on program development and systemic wellness initiatives. With over 15 years of experience, she is on a mission to transform mental health from an individual pursuit to a community imperative.

LaTonya specializes in grief, trauma, and burnout recovery for caregivers, leaders, and helping professionals who struggle with self-compassion. Known for helping people break lifelong patterns that traditional therapy hasn’t addressed, she is certified in evidenced based therapy models IFS, EMDR, and EFT and is a Qualified Administrator of the IDI® and Intercultural Development Inventory®.

Continuing the legacy of her mother and grandmother, who were pillars of community advocacy, LaTonya’s approach recognizes that healing is a collective journey. Her research on self-compassion and perfectionism, published in The Counseling Psychologist, and her background as an adjunct professor in community psychology at Michigan State University inform her work designing mental health programs that bridge gaps in services and prove that helping helpers heal themselves transforms entire communities.
